  1. How do I get a replacement windshield for my RV?
    To get started, fill out the windshield request form on our website with your RVs year, make, model and insurance information. A representative will follow up to walk you through the next steps.

 

  1. How do I know if you have glass for my RV brand?
    We manufacture and supply windshields for most major RV brands—including Winnebago, Fleetwood, Tiffin, Thor, Newmar, Forest River and many others. Check our RV brands page for a full list. Don’t see your RV brand there? We may still have a windshield that will work for your needs, so contact us to learn more.

 

  1. Can I buy an RV windshield directly from Custom Glass Solutions without going through insurance?
    Yes! We support both insurance-covered and out-of-pocket Just indicate your preference on the request form and we’ll provide options that work for your situation.

 

  1. How much does a new RV windshield cost?
    The cost of a replacement RV windshield varies depending on the make and model of your RV, the type of glass and whether you’re using insurance. In general, out-of-pocket costs for RV windshield replacements can range from $800 to $3,500+. If you’re utilizing insurance, in most cases you’re only out-of-pocket cost is your deductible (and the deductible is waived in some states!) We’ll provide an accurate quote once we receive your vehicle details.

 

  1. Will my insurance cover the cost of a replacement RV windshield?
    Most comprehensive RV insurance policies cover windshield glass repair or replacement. If you choose to file an insurance claim, we will help you navigate the claims process and work with your insurance provider to minimize out-of-pocket expenses.

 

  1. What information do I need to provide to get a quote or start a claim?
    You’ll need your RV’s year, make, model, a description of the damage, date of loss and (if applicable) your insurance policy details. If using insurance, we’ll most likely need photos of the damage as well. The more accurate the information, the faster we can assist you.

 

  1. Do you offer installation services or just the glass?
    We do both! Through our nationwide network of 3,000 preferred installers, we can coordinate a local installation—either at a shop or in some cases, via mobile service to your location.

 

  1. How long does the replacement process take?
    Typically, installation takes a few hours, but curing time for adhesives may require your RV to remain stationary for up to 24 hours. We’ll keep you informed on timing when scheduling the work.

 

  1. Is the replacement RV glass OEM quality?
    Yes! Chances are good that our windshield is the Original Equipment in your RV today…check the logo on the glass to find out. We provide OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or equivalent-quality glass that meets or exceeds industry safety and fit standards for your specific RV model.

 

  1. What kind of warranty comes with my new RV windshield?
    CGS RV replacement windshields come with a one-year limited warranty, guaranteeing it will be free from manufacturing defects for up to one year. Warranties on labor and craftsmanship depend on the vendor who performed the work and we’ll discuss that with you as you’re determining where to have the work completed.

 

  1. What happens if my RV is an older model or a rare brand?
    No problem—our team specializes in sourcing windshields for hard-to-find models. Even if your RV isn’t listed on our RV brands page, we may still have the glass or can help locate it. See FAQ # two above.

 

  1. Can you replace RV side or door glass too, or just windshields?
    We handle tempered and laminated glass for side windows, doors and other glass features on motorhomes, fifth wheels and campers.

 

   13. How do I know if my RV glass needs to be replaced instead of repaired?
Everyone should do what makes them feel safe, but here are some guiding points to consider on when a replacement is required instead of a repair:

 *The chip is directly in the driver’s line of sight
*The chip is larger than a quarter
*The chip has broken the inside piece of glass
*There are more than three cracks or chips on the glass
*The damage is at the edge of the windshield
*The windshield is old and covered with tiny divots

 

  1. Do I need to remove the windshield myself or bring the RV somewhere?
    No need to worry—our installers handle removal and installation. We’ll direct you to a local installer who will do it all professionally for you.

 

  1. Can I track the progress of my order or service?
    Once your request is submitted, a representative will stay in touch with updates on glass availability, scheduling and installation coordination.

 

  1.
